The two engage in a psychic duel, with the young man ultimately cast into the gateway to the Upside Down, where he becomes Vecna.
Biological Relationship
The relationship between Hopper and Eleven is very special. Hopper is the surrogate father for the teenagers in Hawkins and Eleven refers to him as her father. They both need each other, and Hopper does everything he can to help them out. They are very close and the relationship between them is as strong as any biological relationship.
